Snail help!

So im making a clean up crew from reef cleaners.org and am wandering the best snail and crab that will eat green hair algea?

I am fond of the Mexican turbos, although they can be bulldozers. Blue leg hermits are cheap and fine

I just got 10 mex turbos for a 34 gal RSM. LFS said 1/gallon they are small.
Everyone else tells me 1-2 per 10 gallons
Not sure which cuc to get from RC.org
I have no fish and no plants and my tank is pretty clean

I have one Mexican turbo and I love him. Got him 2 days ago and already he is cleaning up!

My opinion I would go with a tuxedo urchin, but in your case the turbos in my opinion would be best. If it is a big tank and you got a lot of algae, a sea hare will be perfect. Make sure your frags are glued tight because the turbos will bulldoze them off the rock. Hope this helps!

As far as hermits go, the Scarlet Hermit Crabs are the most reef safe of the crabs and the one most likely to eat hair algae.

In my experience (47 years in SW), not much will keep up with HA growth UNLESS you find the energy source that is causing the out brake. So, my first question is, what are your water parameters? Specifically...

Nitrates...?
Phosphates...?
