snail quantity

so I just bought a bunch more snails for my 40 breeder. It got me thinking about quantity.how many various snails would you put in a well-stocked mixed 40 breeder?

I hope that's not the norm if it is I am way over doing it. So I guess now's are not necessary at the least. Huh

what does your clean up crew consists of if anything

I wouldn't say it the norm, but some of my tanks are sparse on snails too. Really depends on their intended use. If the tank is bare bottom, not much point in snails that prefer substrate.

I have a lot! Roughly 100 sand snails of various types and probably about the same for glass and rock.

For my 55, I have about 50-75 snails. I just add more when I think my CUC is lacking.

I see there trails across the glass. And there is plenty for them to eat. You guys must clean your glass often. Or is it the snailz that's dirtying mine. Lol

All depends on your nutrients in the tank, I don't need anymore than 10 Turbos to take care of what I have, if I add more they starve out.
