Snails/hermits in HOB refugium

Does anybody put either snail or hermits in their refugium?
I have a 25” CPR Hong on refugium and cleaning the crud on the bottom of it can be a nightmare with the matrix and chaeto in it and I would like to add a cleaning invert if it can be done.

I personally wouldn't do it- while it's probably pretty unlikely, I don't mix animals of any kind with HOB equipment to reduce the possibility of restricted flow and a flood.
