This time things changed! Gave me trouble not eating for a week which is well documented. However yesterday finally started eating for me, and this morning during feeding, was messaging a friend to let him know he was eating and I look up, he's perched on my green hammer and there is a glowing green deflated orb blowing around the tank.
I really like these fish, so figure eh I wait and see... not 30 mins later I see him attack the hammer again and another blowing neon green orb floating around the tank!

So I caught him in 10 mins thankfully, here's hoping the shop will exchange him for something since he was already the result of a problematic peppermint shrimp exchange! wish me luck!
