I was reading that I need to map out my par readings to make sure im not cooking zoas and any coral I add at a later time. So I ordered one. But its in a rock. So do i just leave it in and let the apex moniter or do i take it out?

It says leave it in to monitor all the time but is that just a waste?

I take measurements, then out.
I have no need to go any further.

I would recommend that you return the par reading rock immediately.

The vast majority of people are able to adjust their lighting successfully without knowing the par readings at every moment of the day.
