I am back, but now I have changed from SPS because I found leather corals that look identical to SPS (For me at least) Now I need the best lights for a soft coral tank that has a bubble tip and will have a clam or two and the light needs a shimmer, also my tank is eurobraced and I have no ability to hang as I rent an house. Any suggestions?

What generation?
Well, it depends I guess.
If you were able to find some gen 3's that were a screaming deal, then maybe.
Buying right now, this week, I'd pick gen4's.
I'd wait on gen 5's until they get the production issues with the cases solved, and maybe a few more updates on Mobius.
Unless you don't mind making repairs on a new product yourself ( currently ETM's strategy ) and you are a phone person.

After having done the easy suggestion, maybe something that would require some diy skills.

Softies do great under T5's, and to get a little of the led look, maybe one of the led blue strips available. Reef Brite, Reef Breeders, and Orphek make some.

I currently use a ATI T5 fixture with dual Reef Brite XHO's.

I have the Red sea LED 90, and I like it. Not sure how many you need, but they are fairly priced in my opinion.

Yeah, I am going to go BTA only now and I will just get T5s, ATI Powermodule 6 bulbs 39w fixture, at this point, if I am desperate for shimmer I will just add like a proven light strip or something

I don't know if I'm getting in over my head, here, but my softies LOVE my Auquamaxx Prism Slimline. It mounts right on the tank. Fully programmable and cost effective!
