Sold my tank

So, yesterday, I sold off my tank and livestock. Bittersweet moment for me. Life has just become so hectic, proper care and maintenance were not a realistic goal. I've come to realize that aquariums are just not as important to me as other things. My new job is taking so much of my time, I try to spend every minute at home with my wife and son. I'll probably still come around and post occasionally, but it's almost a relief to not have the burden of a water change coming up, or more importantly, having to move an aquarium when we move this weekend.

Awww! I know how you feel. I felt the same way when I had to get rid of mine when I went off to college. Very bittersweet.

Giving up a hobby is definitely a tough thing to do...hope when things slow down you find you way back!!

I suppose that if I ever get up the nerve to have another tank, it'll be a reef tank. And no, bige, I'm not keeping any tanks. 90% of my equipment is now sold, and we're beginning the move to our new house. It is akward going to sleep now without the sound of the water and the glow from the moonlights right outside our bedroom door. It'll be good though, more time to devote to family, and hopefully more funding for my 5D Mk III.

I still plan to hang around here a bit. I'm a mod on another site and will still be performing my duties there as well. While 99% of my posts here will be in the Photography forum, I hope to still contribute what I know.
