Solid state adv leak probe vs low profile probe

Is the only difference the size? Any reason to choose one over the other if size is not a concern?

They are identical other than form factor. The standard one is weighted and therefore is a bit thicker. The low profile one is meant to be tucked under the edge of carpet.
