At Reef Breeders, we keep on looking for the next best LED fixture, and of course, price is a huge factor. Coming in a couple weeks, we have a 72 watt cree fixture, that has rgb LEDs, a full heat sink, 90 degree optics, and dimmability. The colored LEDs are in with the whites, it is a mix of 2 reds, 1 blue, and 1 green, along with 8 whites. On the other channel, 12 royal blues. All of the LEDs are crees. The msrp is $199 shipped. The second new fixture is a 72 watt cree fixture, with rgb LEDs, and 3 channel dimming. One one channel, 8 cool whites, one another, 3 reds, 3 blues, and 2 green LEDs. On the third, 8 royal blues, all with 90 degree optics. The msrp for that one is $249 shipped. The 2 channel fixture will be ready to ship in 2 weeks, the 3 channel will be up for pre order, with a 2 weeks lead time.

I met uo with a reefer in San Jose, CA yesterday to purchase a few zoa frags.

On his frag tank he was using one of your led fixtures. He said he loved the colors and the zoas colored up quikly. He recommended that I look into your led fixtures.
. I have a 40 Breeder aquarium (36" L x 18" W x 16" H). I wanted to know if the 72 watt 2 channel will be enough coverage from left to right?

These fixtures are a little slimmer than the other value fixtures, at only 2 inches tall, 16" long, and 6.5" wide. The power supplies are external, with one cord to the fixture, and separate plugs for a dawn/dusk effect.

Which is recommended for a 40 breeder? For an sps tank

For sps dominant, 2 of these fixtures, or the 96/120watt fixtures would be ideal. These would be your best option, with 2 of them, you are using the least amount of electricity out of the other pairs of fixtures. Also, they are already in a box ready to ship :)
