How do you know this?
I'm from Hong Kong we sometimes have local zoa for sale from illegal harvesting from sea.
Few distributors here will re-export corals from indo and aussie too. Some true origin of zoa is hard to trace.
How do these hong kong zoas look?
They are just common zoa found throught out the indo pacific.
Not worth breaking the law over, I take it. eep:
well, that is strange...
the wholesaler and the originating supplier both called them hong kong zoas, they even came from hong kong on the shipment info...
That's why I said the origin is very hard to trace.
Disturbutors re-export them. In fact we have buyers all around the world to buy reef fish from here and some saying cheaper than buying from Indo. Our retail price here will probably be lower than your wholesale price in the States on regular coral n fish.
Only the unique zoa cannot be find here. I'm hunting them elsewhere.
I want to go to Tung Choi St. someday.
Yea, you should~ pm me when you come here, I could show you around if I'm not working
Fish look horrible in American standard, but they are meant to be sold in a day or two
Cool!
Probably won't be for quite some time though.
Do you know of any ways to get corals back to the states after visiting?
