My clownfish had their first batch of eggs just over a month ago and haven't stopped. They just layed their third bunch of eggs last night. Is this the new norm for them? All eggs all the time?

Yes they will be on a consistent cycle(unless you disturb their environment in a major way). Mine lay eggs exactly 2 days after the previous eggs hatch.

Ok, thanks. Seems like the term breeding like rabbits has nothing on clownfish!

Mine are doing exactly the same thing in the corner of my tank and they've been at it non-stop for at least the last year. They'll defend their little corner like crazy. Not sure there's much you can do about it. At least they're providing live food for the rest of the fish in the tank once in a while.

I think I've them for a year and a half. I got them when they were pretty small though.

Mine are 21 years old and they do it in the same corner of the tank every time.

Wow, 21 years. That's amazing! I didn't even know they lived that long.
I’ve had one reefer tell me they have a 26-year-old clown fish and another reefer told me he has a 23-year-old pair of clown fish. Those are the oldest clown fish I know of.

Thought about it, but between the tank I have and my kids, not much time left for anything else. Plus my wife would probably kick my butt if I brought another tank home
