Hi R2R friends,

First, we’d like to thank all our loyal NooPsyche users for your support over the years. Your feedback and passion help us make each new generation better!

We’re excited to give you the upcoming NooPsyche K7 PRO IV!

The K7 PRO IV is the next-generation compact reef LED from NooPsyche, designed for nano and mid-size reef aquariums.

It combines the strengths of the K7 PRO II and K7 PRO III, bringing you what we believe is the most refined generation of NooPsyche reef lighting so far.

Key highlights:

100W LED system

Optimized spectrum for LPS/SPS coral growth and coloration

Irradiation coverage area 90°

Questions are welcome! What size tank would you run this light on?

This is some exciting news!

We’ve received several questions from hobbyists about spectrum and testing, so we’ll be sharing PAR test results and tank coverage information soon. In the meantime, we’re curious that do you guys think the price of this lamp is what you expected?

I've been a big fan of the K7 III. I would be curious to see a comparison between the III and IV. Spectrum difference, Par difference, what's the difference between the Osram and Epistar LED? Will the 40w drop effect the performance? I've recommended these lights to a lot of people especially based on the price really hope there isn't a big jump. The other thing I've heard from others is the spread of the light is a little tight. The app is basic but gets the job done a update there would also be cool to see but wouldn't say necessary. What other new things will the IV Pro be bringing that the III did not have?

Thanks for your support and for recommending the K7 series — we really appreciate it!
Everything else remains the same except for the power output. The only difference is that the power has been reduced from 140 watts to 100 watts. Therefore, all accessories for the K7 PRO III are compatible with the K7 PRO IV. a more affordable option。

The IV still keeps a blue-dominant reef spectrum and includes violet/UV LEDs (400–475nm) to support coral growth and fluorescence. More blue

As for the illumination range, it remains ∠90°, the same as the PRO III. Adding more light fixtures can better reduce shadows and increase the illuminated area.

The app remains simple and functional, but we are always collecting feedback for future improvements.

Hello, I was wondering if 1 K7 IV pro light with shade would be enough for a 40 gallon mixed reef?

Yes, one NooPsyche K7 PRO IV can work well for a 40 gallon mixed reef.

For a standard 40 gallon tank (such as a 40 breeder), a single unit should provide enough coverage for most soft corals and LPS, and even some SPS placed higher in the tank.

If you plan to keep more SPS or want very even coverage across the entire tank, you might consider running two units at lower intensity.

What are the dimensions of your tank?

I am a fan of the v2 and v3. Currently run both over my 7' 210G DT 3x v2 pro and 2x v3

Have been looking to replace all 5 with v3 pros eventually and ad a 6th as I want to pivot to SPS dominant.
I am excited for the new k7 pro IV lights but a little disappointed you dropped the wattage. The v2 @90W just isn't enough. I understand the spectrum is different so maybe more wattage will be used toward the dominant LEDs.

Looking forward to par numbers etc. Please look into testing multiple lights spaced above a 27" deep tank.

Does this mean you are discontinuing the v3 pros?
Is the App the same on the v3 pro as the IV? or are there improvements in connecting to wifi /bluetooth etc that plagued the v3 pro app.

How many of the lights can be slaved of a master? by pure wattage i could see wanting 8 over my tank

I can’t find the app in app store(iOS), why?

Thank you for your continued support ,it’s great to hear from you running both the PRO II and PRO III on your large system,

For a 7’ tank transitioning to SPS dominant, something in the range of 6-8 units of the K7 PRO IV would be more appropriate to achieve even coverage and sufficient PAR, especially at depth.

The K7 PRO III is being phased out, and the IV represents the new generation going forward.

Still using the Noopsyche K7 PRO app for K7 PRO IV. And we are actively collecting feedback to improve connectivity and user experience in future updates.

Multiple units can be grouped and controlled together. Up to 32 units can be controlled simultaneously.

We really appreciate your feedback — especially from experienced users running larger systems.

Looking forward to hearing how your SPS transition goes!

In some cases, switching the App Store region or using a direct download link can help — we can provide that if needed. We can also provide a direct download option if needed.

What you recommend for MIX REEF 36X20X18
Hi!
For a 36" × 20" × 18" mixed reef tank, we recommend 2 × NooPsyche K7 PRO IV
Even coverage across the full 36" length. Good intensity for LPS and soft corals. Enough flexibility if you decide to add some SPS in the future. You can space the lights evenly (around 16–18" apart) for the best spread.

Accidentally ordered the mount when I ordered the full Pro IV set and CS caught it and refunded my money for the mount since the full set comes with the mount. Good support, thanks!
