Something poking out of coral

Noticed these string like things coming out of the top of my coral. Not sure if this is normal. If not can you help me I.D. it and tips on how to treat it? I don't remember what the coral was called but I believe it's some kind of encrusting type. Thanks for all your help.

Those appear to be spionid worms. Bumble bee snail will eat them.
