Space Invader Feeders

I know a lot of you guys have this piece but I wanted to post a pic of how long the feeder tentacles can get. The colony is getting close to 3 1/2 - 4 inches now and the feeders seem to be growing as well. Take a look at the top left of the picture to see the furthest tentacle. I had a ruler up to it and it is an easy 6 inches from the base of the eye to the stinger on the end.

Geez man! That's some crazy sweepers. I wanted one for my tank but it's only a 25 cube. I think I'll have to pass on them after seeing this, lol!

Great pic! It is amazing to me how long some of those sweeper tentacles can get.

I've had the same problem as well. I've decided that "Space invader" is the perfect name because I have a 2" frag taking up a quarter of my frag tank.

man. that is wild, I have never seen a sweeper that long- good name Space Invaders

I could be wrong but I don't think those tentacles are for any activity other than attack are they? They're usually totally clear with the exception of the white node at the end where all the nematocysts are located for efficient stinging.
