How bad is the sting and what corals are immune to it?

I've seen YouTube videos from Inappropriate Reefer where he has he's invader in the middle of a Zoa garden. So bad is the sting and can certain coral tolerate it?

I think the next time I see it's alien tentacles I'm going hold up my no name Zoas and see what happens.

Side note: What do you think influenced your colony's growth: lighting, random flow or other factors? The ones I've seen grow in random shapes and never in a spiny cup formation like your's.
I can't really attest to what all can survive it. I know mine is on a little peninsula that the flow keeps the sweepers flowing in a safe direction. I definitely wouldn't put anything valuable around it.

It's sitting under ~150PAR of LED/T5's. Sitting pretty much right where two vortechs flow collide so I'd say it's random. Nothing special that I know of :)

Lol I hate frags. I only have a dozen corals in my tank, and most of them are well past frag stage. Totally respect the frag thing, but I prefer to buy frags as mini colonies.

What are the care, water conditions and feeding guidelines for this coral. It's very cool looking and hopefully it fits within my tank plan.

Just your typical mixed reef tank and the associated chemical parameters. I feed the coral LPS pellets about once a week at night. Mixed T5's & GHL Mitras, somewhere around 140 PAR. Circulation is provided with 4 MP40's and an Abyzz A200. As my buddy and LFS owner says, it just likes my tank :)
