Spawning GSP!

Coral researchers have special spawn catching overflow systems to harvest the eggs.

I'm just curious...if you catch something like a spawning taking place...would you just turn pumps off? If so, for how long would you keep them off? Then what..?

I would probably leave things as is.Although,turning off the pumps would make it easier to take a clear photograph.Then I would be prepared to do a major water change if needed.
