I think you're right. The dorsal is wrong for a hi hat.

Personally I think Hi Hat. The lines run lateral, where on a Jackknife they run up and down. Unless they go through a change during maturity.

I looked up jack knife juvenile on the internet and they look like your picture. The lines do change if I found the right picture.

The eyes are the give away I think. With the jackknife, the line through the eye runs vertically, but with the little guy I have, his line runs through his eye horizontally.
