Scientific name - Epinephelus ongus

Common name - Specklefin Grouper (Whitespotted Grouper)

Size - 11.8" (30 cm)

Min. Aquarium size - 75 US Gal. (284 L)

Foods and feeding - Marine fare for carnivores, marine fish, crustacean flesh, feed 2-4 times a week.

Reef compatibility - Dines on ornamental crustaceans and fish tank mates.

Captive care - Acclimates well to captivity, will greedily accept chopped fresh or Frozen seafood's, other frozen preparations, freeze dried krill, one of the better fish for the aquarium as it does not grow as large as most groupers, will eat any fish it can swallow whole, as with all groupers maintain an adequate filtration system.
