I saw that in my rock, picture kinda blurry, can't tell if it's a small crab or a kind of spider.
i'll try to get a better picture.
a bit smaller than a dime. but at that size, i guess it has been there for a while. to deep in rock to grab for now, will wait later tonight

any idea so i can look the net ?

I don't like the look of him. Not even a little.

If you see him again, try to get a pic of his claws.

He could be a red ridged clinging crab, which would be a great hitch hiker (similar to ruby red and Emerald mithrax crabs). And the way it's holding onto the rocks and being out in the open points to that.

But I don't want to say it's a good guy without a good look at the claws.

he is notin the open, it'S in a little crack.
i think we can see a claw... he's more cautious since i discovered him.

Xanthid crabs prefer to hide under things. Mithrax crabs (mostly good guys) cling to the sides of things.

Sorry but I can't tell anything new from that picture.

i'm trying to get a better picture. I'm feeding him to try to lure him out off it's hole.

Are you 100% he's dead and its not a shed of he's shell , I say this as I made the same mistake , I knew that thay drop their whole skin ...shell whatever it's called when they grow
Anyway I found one in my tank that was complete ... I was so sure that it was my crab dead even after pulling it out of the water .
I posted it on here in my thread about him .........is crab eating my corals .
2 days later I saw him in my tank
So I was wrong , and I was so sure it wasn't a shed

it was the crab, not a shell, i tear it in pieces and flesh and everything inside.
