I'm wondering if anyone has some pictures or ideas for a steel stand that is split in two. Basically the door is only 30" wide (probably 28" clearance), so for a 60x36x36 stand, I would split the steel stand in two and bolt them together once in the basement.

Thanks, Bill

I would think if you built 2 60"x18"x 36" (the 18" being wide or deep however you want to call it) and welding in 5 or 6 tabs on each inside section with a bolt hole and bolting them together you would be more than fine. Just add a full size piece of 3/4" plywood for the top.

Thanks, the bolt holes are a good idea. I am looking at taking 24" tall tank, I just don't like it too deep for access.

I was hoping for a big opening in the front to be able to slide big sumps in, but not sure since the tank is a two part if that's going to be an issue. Anyone know of some recommendations for openings?

Thanks!
