My virus protection scans all incoming and outgoing emails. I also have several email accounts. Earthlink for example will send me a notice email letting me know if I received a viral message. Maybe it's time you guys reevaluate your protection. Sorry for your troubles though.

this has actually happened to me too where a virus has sent out emails to my address book
only reason i even knew about it is because i put my own email in my address book and it sent it to myself
the wierd thing though is its not in the sent folder but like rev said
dont open anything ever period

The virus is in the FTP link that is listed. Your virus protection won't detect it, until you click on the link and it tries to attack your system. That is why I need the virus name, so I can research it.

A couple of good free antivirus programs to use are www.superantispyware.com and www.malwarebytes.org. I have used both to clean up litterally thousands of viruses. The free versions dont offer real time protection but are good for clean up. I have a coworker who's kids keep downloading **** and limewire. First time I cleaned up her comp she litterally had over 1200 viruses and trojans. I have only come accross one virus that required me to reformat and honestly I probably could of taken care of it but I wanted that fresh copy of xp feel again.
