Hey everyone.

I have a blue hippo tang that has some white spots all around its body. Probably about 4-7 spots. It did not have any of these spots last night and they popped up this morning. Any ideas what it could be. I’m assuming ich but not 100% sure. Any advise and treatment plan would be nice.

My hospital tank is unfortunately down at the moment. And even so catching this hippo tang is almost impossible.

I do have a clown fish that periodically gets white bumps as well but they go away on their own.

He seems to be eating and swimming fine.

125 Gal tank.
0 ammonia
0 nitrite
.5 nitrate
Alk 1.025

Other fish: 2 clown, 1 gem, 1 lawnmower, 1 dragonet, 4 fire goby, 4 cardinals, 1 flame hawk, 2 nems.

Pictures are fuzzy at least on my phone and can be mucus cones, flukes or other but need clearer pics under white lighting
Is fish showing any unusual behaviors or have loss of appetite, heavy breathing, or scratching?

May be turbellian worms which may be associated with as mentioned flukes
Treatment will be praziPro applying it once for 8 days, doing a water change and applying it again once for 8 days
Really would like to see clearer images to assure its nothing else

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
