Helloooooo,

I'm wanting to know the best placement for a couple of corals. I'm running 250w 14K Hamilton SE Metal Halides in a 120 (48x24x24)

I've got a green slimer, a pink pocillopora, and a garf bonsai I'm wanting to place a bit more permanently within my rocks.....any suggestions for best coloring ??

It seems purple corals do better lower in my tank but maybe that's just because its darker down there. I've had others say purple does better in higher light. Is there any "rules of thumb" concerning particular colors of corals and where they should be placed ??? :squigglemouth:

Thanks

I would place the green slimer and pink Policpora halfway and anywhere above that. They should be able to take almost any amount of light you through at them. I would place the Purple Bonsai about 1/2 to 1/4 of the way up. I moved a Bonsai up high before and it did not like it at all.
