Is it possible for SPS to recover from dead sections? The reason I ask is that I have some pieces in my tank (purple digi, green slimer, pocci) but my tank is not setup for SPS at all, im going to be adding a kalk reactor and ATO combo this weekend, and was wondering if they will recover once my params become stable.

it's possible and i have allowed recovering sps to reclaim dead parts, but i believe most ppl just cut off dead sections.

Ya it's possible to recover I have a green stylophora that had quite a few dead spots and the new tissue is starting to cover up those dead spots. But imo it's best to frag any dead spots you see gives the coral a better chance to recover

Thanks for the tips guys, maybe I will try to cut the tip off my Digi. Setting up my Kalk reactor tomorrow, hopefully things take a turn for the best.
