SPS tank T5 combo question

Hello. has anyone ever they this bulb combo in their SPS tank?


Front to back:


Blue+
Coral+
Actinic+
Blue+
Blue+
Coral+
Actinic+
Blue+


Would that be a good combo?

I have been running that combo. Love the look and really like dawn/dusk with just actinics. Been a little concerned with the loss of PAR though and recently replaced one of the actinic with another Blue+ May replace the other too

Whoops, just realized I'm running an Aquablue Special also. I think your combo might be too blue

Which gives you better color Actinic+ or Purple + ?
I have a shallow tank, so I dont need high PAR. I just need best combo for color. I have never used Actini+ before.
I will be using LEDs for my dusk/dawn, so really just need to see if actinic+ will be better than purple+ to go with the rest of combo.

Depends on the color you're trying to pull out. Purple + pulls reds and pinks

Depends which color you're trying to pull out. Actinic is going to make the green pop, purple+ will bring out pink and red

I liked the actinic over the purple + I think if you go with the combo you listed above it will be too blue unless that's what you're going for.

I think the above combo will be a good one. The 2 coral plus should wash out much of the blue. If you're worried about it, replace 1 blue with a purple.

Personally.... I don't like the purple+. I would prefer another coral+ in its place with the 6 bulb combo. It might work really well with the 8 bulb combo though.

Cool. I think I will try that combo. Do you have a pic with these combo? I thought you ran LEDs

I only have pictures of individual corals, not the full tank -yet . I switched to T5 June 1st. Shhhhh :spy:
