now i have a mated pair and i do well with them, no agression or conflicts

lately the female is hiding more often , so i wanted to know more about the breeding habits or how to's

also any issue in adding another female i know males keep harems and school and such but just another question that hit me

No anthias have been successfully bred in captivity yet, but you may be able to witness spawning behavior. It will usually occur in the hour or so before lights out, particularly if your main lights go out and just the actinics are on during this period.

During the courtship the male's base coloring intensifies and what appears like stripes show up and he makes darts toward the female.

Unless your tank is huge(180g+) I wouldnt add another female to an established male or female.

interesting , and thank you, i was worried about dozens of anthias appearing in my tank lol
