Staghorn hermit crab

Went in to my lfs to pick up some hermit crabs and I fell in love with the staghorn hermit crab I’m acclimating him now. Anyone have any experience with them?

The crab has a Live SPS coral on it's back, Make sure you can keep SPS healthy.

I have many sps corals that I have kept healthy long term but for some reason this crabs shell seems to slowly die from the tips and I’m not sure why. Anyone else have this experience?

I'm guessing this is because they are always moving, which constantly changes the amt of light exposure.
