Stand smaller than tank

I have a home made oak stand that was built to hold a 75 gallon tank. I don't have a 75 gallon tank but do have a 5 ft 120 gallon tank. The stand is strong enough to hold a truck so that is not a question, but do you think that overhanging the stand 5 inches on each end would cause problems. This stand is a match to my 125 stand and tank and I want to put them together to have an 11 ft wall of tanks.

Yes it will. Tanks need to be supported on their corners. I just built an add on for someone in the same boat. Please have the stand extended to avoid issues.
 
That's quite a bit of overhang, I'd say almost certainly not as is, but post pics to see if it can be modified easily enough.
