Standing an aquarium on its side

I wanted to ask. I have a 180 gallon Acrylic aquarium. I need to get a stand for it and in the meantime I have it sitting in the carpet. I'd prefer to stand it on its side on the carpet to lessen and chance of anything hitting it. Is it ok to stand an acrylic 180 on its side?

Like motors, aquariums are best when in use. Down time leads to issues

It will be fine on its side. Don't worry about it.
