I can’t see the vids, could you upload a pic?
Your description sounds like a brittle star though. They are very common hitchhikers and make for a good part of the cuc (and one of the easiest echinoderms to keep).
Thank you! And couldn't agree more about the barnacles. I went with Tamba Bay Saltwater love rock and absolutely love it. The biodiversity is just incredible!I don't know what it is, but I do agree it doesn't look like any brittle star I've seen - it looks like it might be some kind of filter feeding worm to me, but I'm definitely not an expert on worms.
Also, I love the barnacles in that second video - I think they add a lot of character to the tank.
Possibly. It would be huge though! They are pretty constantly feeding.Maybe a medusa worm? Does not look exactly the same but it's worth a thought.
What happens if you touch them? Do they move? It looks kind of cool.
I think you are rightBasket star maybe
Nice! Thank you guys!I think you are right
That looks extremely similar to it, I think you figured it out! Thanks so much!Look at Spotted Worm Sea Cucumbers. Since you can only see the arms there is no way to say what it is, but I was reminded of this photo.
cool i want oneLook at Spotted Worm Sea Cucumbers. Since you can only see the arms there is no way to say what it is, but I was reminded of this photo. These are mostly Indo-Pacific, and not Atlantic in origin.
