Not sure what happened here. I got this starfish 2 days ago and it was moving around, seemed healthy. Now it’s missing an arm and about to lose the other.

how old is your tank? water parameters? is anything else in your tank struggling?
The tank is 5 months now. The parameters were normal. The only thing that I have an issue with keeping long are snails. Everything else is great.

Personally if it was me I would check my tank over from A to Z. That kind of deteriorating in only 2 days is suspicious. Nothing will starve in only 2 days, so maybe it was very sick when you got it or something in your tank not agreeing with it.

Its a sand sifting star by the looks of it. Lots of posts and articles about how those usually starve, especially in newer tanks. Only stars I have good luck with are chocolate chips! But those do eat corals
