I started dosing silicates because of dinos in my sand bed (not the stringy kind)... I've also had GHA throughout the tank that I've tried everything to fix but couldnt. I tried turbo snails, crabs, urchins, and reef fluix.. The cuc barely helps but the reef flux helped only to come back after a week of finishing treatment.

Well, silicates have virtually wiped out the GHA. Dosing about 1.5ml of 37% sodium silicate two times a day in 160g water volume.

Dinos are also being kept at bay.

Something to worth considering if you hvae a algae problem.

Good to hear!

It may have reduced GHA in a variety of ways, some of which may also apply to dinos and hence why it is recommended. These include consuming trace elements, removing one or more that the pests need, or taking up space on surfaces where they would be attaching.
