So a few weeks ago I finally decided to try out a very small, no tech Walstad setup. In my travels looking for what I needed, and in all my research, I came across reef tanks and was instantly smitten by just about everything about it. Little did I know going to the LFS for some sand and wood would lead me to this!
I am pretty much gearing up piece by piece to dive into the hobby. My Walstad hasn't even cycled or stocked yet and I'm looking at elaborate reef setups.
I've been learning a lot, researching a lot, and hopefully I can apply this effort soon and get my build rolling. I have a lot of things to take into consideration. Right now I'm working on prepping my subterranean garage with the proper space/power/ventilation to support a mini fish room and workshop with a 60-100gal reef tank being the centerpiece.
We will see how it goes, it'll definitely be a journey and I'm happy to be here to learn and get inspired by everyone else
