Well.... Unfortunately I lost 1 banggai cardinal...
Still boggle my mind that it's gone. I can't find it anywhere.

I swapped zoa with another reefer today. my purple heart zoa and fire&ice swapped with a Pink diamond zoa.

I'll take a pic tomorrow when it opened up.

Now I need to frag more of those zoas.

Water Parameters:
Salinity: 35 (Apex)
Alkalinity: 8.4dKh (Hanna)
PO4: 0.06ppm (Hanna)
NO3: 12ppm (Nyos)
Calcium 420 (Hanna)
Magnesium 1500 (Aquaforest)
Temp 78 F (Apex)

Just caught him dragging in the shrimp..

Now I really suspected that he also killed the Banggai

And... anemone is dead...
cant find it anymore.. dang it.. ammonia test is 0 though.

also I got my ICP test.
TLDR:
  1. Aluminium is high 60.45 µg/l - Main suspect is Marine Pure Sphere.
  2. Tin is high.. not sure if I need to worry about this.
  3. need to dose Iodine
Tin: 12.93 µg/l Recommended: 0.50 µg/l
Aluminium: 60.45 µg/l Recommended: 0.10 µg/l

Molybdän Recommended Dosage 1,00 ml 2
Vanadium Recommended Dosage 0,20 ml 1
Mangan Recommended Dosage 0,30 ml 1
Iod Important Dosage 0,10 ml 3

Now I need to find out how to dose these Aquaforest A B C that I have

Water Parameters:
Salinity: 35 (Apex)
Alkalinity: 8.3dKh (Hanna)
PO4: 0.09ppm (Hanna)
NO3: 12ppm (Nyos)

So as I mentioned anemone is dead. I think it was my mistake during transfer.

I found the culprit of the aluminium and tin

I put cuprisorb on my filter sock and we'll see in couple days if that are absorbing those.

Hopefully by taking those out my other LPS will recover.

I found out that there is a stray voltage in my tank. It was around 40 volts.
So I got a grounding probe, which just arrived today.
To my surprise, as soon I connected the grounding probe. The Apex Salinity probe jumped up.

Screenshot_20210125-180516.jpg

So I searched around and confirmed that stray voltage does affect the apex salinity probe. I should have thought about from the start.
And.. I confirmed it with my Tropic Marin High Precision Hydrometer (pic above)
So now it's kinda closer to that reading.

O well. All I care is the salinity probe to be stable.

Got myself some new rocks.
Used a window blind rod in them.
I tried to get it cover the rods with epoxy. Should be ok. Seems strong enough
Going to place then on the left side of my tank.

Weekly update:

Moved the diamond zoa, torch, and 2 hammers to get more light.

Got a neptune probe holder from a fellow reefers
IMG_20210131_171104985.jpg

I really need to get chaeto to restart my refugium. Nitrate and phosphate are looking pretty stable now. Then I would need to consider the fuge light. I think I need to get a better one. But I want to test it out.

Still didn't out the new rocks in the tank. I will do that next week.

Water Parameters:
Salinity: 35.3 (Apex)
pH: 8 to 8.2 (Apex)
Alkalinity: 7.7dKh (Hanna)
PO4: 0.14ppm (Hanna)
NO3: 12ppm (Nyos)

Unfortunately I lost another fish last Tuesday. The shy Purple Firefish. The night before it was fine and eating. The next morning, I saw my hermit crabs were chomping on something.. then I saw the tail... It's suck. I like that fish.

Yesterday and today I swapped some of my zoas frags for some SPS.

2 Purple Heart Zoas
2 Purple Death Zoas

I was told this is Cornbread. Then a fellow reefer told me this is Anacropora. Looks similar to "The thing Anacropora" from top shelf aquatic website.

I got new dry rocks. I was thinking of cycling it in a separate bucket and wait up. But after talking to my friend. I just decided to throw it in.
So a small redecorating.

Curious to see with that much light “spill” in your sump if you will have algae problems on the walls etc besides just the cheato growing
