Would this model 100MDCHP20* pump work for a small daily ATW of a 75 gallon tank?

Yes it will work. Place it in an area where you don’t have to hear it. I used one for years.

The pump will pump water along way.
just use timer to run the pump for a couple of minutes. Depending on how much you want to change out at a time.

I'll need to look up the suggestions, but I feel like a 20% weekly water change is what the reefing community generally suggests. I don't want to do it all at once, so I'm guessing 2.75 gallons a day for a 90 gallon tank, after accounting for water displacement and extra room in sump. I'll have to figure out how fast the pump pumps water to determine how long it takes, and choose 2 times a day to activate pump?
I will have my pump in an shed pumping into my house, so sound wont matter. Would it be even better if I was able to spread the water exchange throughout the entire day?

What I did was run the lines too and from the tank. Then fill up two buckets of water. Then two empty buckets. Run the pump for one minute so the lines are full of water. Then empty the water. Now run the pump for a minute and measure how much water is pumped into the empty buckets. This will be your water flow per minute. Then just set up a timer on your aquarium controller power strimp to run several times a day to get to the amount of water you want to change out in one day.
you may need to turn off the power to your ATO system so it doesn’t come on. An sometimes depending on the return pump to the aquarium it maybe need to be turned off during the water change also.
