My next upgrades are:
- VCA random flow generator (ordered)
- ATO (not sure which one yet)

I’ve installed the VCA random flow generator. it says its for a spec5 but it works on the fluval spec 3.

The flow has increased drastically since replacing the stock nozzle. The water in the back compartment reduces by about an inch when the pump is on. I don’t think the stock nozzle was letting enough water through.

The packaging says the optimal flow is 150-180 gallons per hour. My 300gph pump light be too strong. I had to point the nozzle downwards as far as i could so the water doesn’t hit the glass and shoot over the side of the tank lol
