This New Year started off with a bang as I decided to try my luck at a marine reef tank. Previously, I had kept a 30 gallon live planted fresh water tank, but always had a sense of longing for the colorful (what seemed like a magical), beautiful world. I was terrified, yet with the guidance of a friend I made the "plunge" (corny joke!).
I started with a 40 gallon IM tank with about 20 pounds of established live rock and 30 pounds live sand. My first fish were a couple of clowns. Now I have a Pygmy and a baby yellow tang (yes, I am already mapping out in my house where I will put my next 100 gallon tank [emoji6]). My coral aquascape is coming along and I am excited to see it transform. So far I have trumpets, Duncan's, clove polyps, finger leather, mushroom, zoa's, Goni, chalice, Favia, and montipora
Here is where I will document my journey as I become more knowledgeable and learn from my mistakes! Thank you to all the forum members that have already helped me so much along the way!

Is that Cuckoo clock still working on the hour?
That theme for your livestock is funny.
Talking to the big girls with a 100G

Yah it's the real deal! I have some close friends from Germany that gave that to me as a gift.
I am excited and am already planning taking notes for moving to the big leagues, won't be until the end of this year though.

Nice piece of work, it looks like a Hubert Herr clock from the collection out the Bavarian.
Big leagues, we'll be waiting for you ;)

Ugh, well first hiccup on the road. I have a hitchhiker a glass anemone. Wish me luck any advice is welcomed!!
