Still having this problem see pic

What is this stuff. Will not go away. After I either blow it off or Suck it up comes right back to the eggcrate and then gets really long and stringy.. it sucks right up so it's not hair algae and it's more brown then red so it's not red slime. What can it be

No phosphate are. 03 and it only occurs in my 24-24-12 tank frag tank and it only seems to attach to the egg crate I'm thinking of taking g out eggcrate to see if it helps

I know many use egg crates for several reasons but IMO they contain chemicals that may leach. Hence your PO4 of .03

Well in taking it out to see
