right now I don’t have any recommendations since I have the redsea max E170 myself and I’m trying to figure out a perfect protein skimmer that could fit in the back of the sump perfectly, I need a replacement for the skimmer that’s currently on the max E 170 but listen I don’t hate the skimmer or think it’s a bad one. I actually think it does a great job and I think it has very good performance! But the only reason I don’t like it is because I have to clean the pump and body every couple months then I have trouble removing it from the sump because it could get a little heavy from removing it from the water that’s inside of the body, the thing I struggle with the most is trying to clean the inside of the body it’s impossible to open! the inside of the body is all in one piece so I can’t open it and it’s impossible to fit my hands inside it to clean it! But Like I said I don’t hate the skimmer but I feel it would be a better idea to just get one that’s easier to remove and one where I could take the body apart to make it more simple then easier to clean!
