What are the specs of the system? Equipment, sandbed, amount of rock etc

Seems that's a whole bunch of fish for a 40. Sounds more like what would be appropriate for a 75.

Those damsels can get aggressive and in that small a tank your going to have problems. I would do 4-6 fish in that tank depending on their adult size. Any more than that and you're going to have nutrient problems and I would stay away from larger fish. My 40 breeder has 4 fish in it, I can probably get away with one more but don't want have a tank covered with nuisance algae.

The six line wrasse can also be a terror once it gets settled in.

I had two dominos for a month and they bit me everytime I put my hand in.
That happened to me with my old 55g and it was my clowns that bit me. One time, he tried to bite me, and came so fast, I was a little too quick for him. I moved my hand and he jumped clean out my tank onto my carpet.

I have 4 fish in my 40b mixed reef. 2 clowns both 3-4" a tang 4-5" and a dotty back 3". I test regularly and nitrates are always at 0. So, I know it can handle 4 moderately sized fish no problem.
