coming back into the hobby after a 10+ year break and i'll be getting a Waterbox 35.2 AIO system. Ive narrowed down my stocking list to the following and would like to know if i'm missing something. Thank you for your time!

Yasha Goby + Randall's shrimp
1 clownfish
1 Midas Blenny
1 McCosker's flasher
i'd really like a red or green Mandarin in this tank.. not sure how feasible it would be, i'd probably have to replace the flasher for it. thoughts?

Coral: zoas, paly's, LPS and maybe 1 branching sps coral

With looking it up is it a 35 gallon? If so I would personally rethink the clownfish... they're such a gamble in my opinion. If you do go with one add it LAST. My clown killed 3 gobies in a row and made me stop trying. If it's a 35 gallon a would rethink the wrasse, they are such crazy fast swimmers it feels small. Maybe a dottyback instead? Just some thoughts. Best of luck!

its 33 gallons. not sure where the 35.2 in the waterbox name comes from
that is some good advice! I will need to research some more and think of some possible replacements. dottyback's are great fish, that's an idea.

A six line or possum wrasse would do well in a tank that size. Personally I wouldn’t have a reef tank without a pest control wrasse in it. Go for functional over fashion. At least that’s always my approach.

I LOVE possum wrasses, what pests do they prey on?

function over fashion, i like that. I've always been a fan of six line wrasse. It was originally on my list before i put McCosker's on the list, i might have to put it back on! how would its temperament be with the goby pistol pair?

I get the function over fashion idea, but maybe a hybrid of that? Search in this forum natural aptasia control, bubble algae control, GHA control...etc. You'll find thousands of threads where sometimes a prescribed species worked and others that it didn't. If a possum wrasse ends up eating flatworms (if you even get them) fantastic. But if it doesn't eat them, it's still a really cool fish IMO.

as i'm waiting for my tank to arrive, i started looking up other fish... found one that i really like. its the Lightning Maroon Clown fish. i know the maroon clownfish can be aggressive, so i'm hoping my new line up will work. ive also changed the substrate i'll be using so the goby/pistol pair wont work.
