I'm starting a 125g FOWLR, well upgrading to one. I have a dragon wrasse and a picasso trigger in my 55g right now and am curious what fish you all might mix with them in the larger 125g.

You will want to stick with aggression based fish such as Puffer, small eel, another trigger, filefish, grouper such as strawberry or miniatus as examples

This is kinda what I'm thinking in addition to the Trigger and Wrasse

Porcupine puffer
Some kind of trigger (Undulated, Rectangle, Clown)
Snowflake eel
Lionfish

What are your thoughts on those?

Looks good- Consider a dwarf lion which will not get as big as a volitan. Radiata is also a good lion

I have found that triggers don't necessarily like other triggers that look like them. If you already have a Picasso you may want to stay anyway from a Rectangular or Bursa. Lots of other cool triggers out there though that would go well with your other fish

Ive got a baby clown trigger with a niger trigger, no issues! Also have tangs in my tank too that probably would be okay in yours! Maybe more aggressive ones like the purple, powder blue ect! Maybe a medium sized angel?

I've just been introduced into the world of tangs. I have a Naso Tang (3") in with a Clown Trigger (2.5"), Redtoothed Trigger (3.5"), and a Snowflake Moray (20") in a 125. They all get along great and the Tang (Lips) is a really cool fish!

The other factor to consider is if you’re planning on upgrading again in the future. Stocking those recommended fish will be fine in a 125 while they’re small but as they grow aggression and nutrient control could become a challenge. So if you’re planning on sticking with the 125 I would think hard about how many of those fish you want to keep.
