Hey all, I use Aquaforest hybrid pro salt mix and the label says to use within 3 days after mixing, just curious if this is just a liability thing or if letting it sit in a sealed bucket would actually have an ill affect on the system. (I would be re checking salinity, running a pump to circulate it and heat it prior to use)

Thank you!

The seawater part of it will be fine.

I suspect they add more fungible things like vitamins that will break down in short order.

Won't be available as "vitamins" anymore, hence their guidance, but won't affect the salt per se.

It is an unusual mix, claiming to have both bacteria and food that bacteria will consume (amino acids).

If it were to use such a mix I would try to use it the same day.

I personally would not want such a mix, or to need to use it quickly.
