Lightning sucks!!!
Lost power and lightning fried my 1800 watt battery back up power supply. Manually stirred the tank from 2AM to 6 AM when power finally came back on. Corals and anemones seem to be okay.
RIP 6" large Aussie tusk (raised from 2"), female bellus angel, large magnificent foxface, 3 Christmas Island flame angels (breeding harem!), royal gramma, splendid dottyback, and still looking for others.
Bad day.

I'm so sorry that happened. Thankfully, you didnt lose your house as well, lightning is no joke. 😢

I am amazed that your fish died that quickly. Its unfortunate about lightning , but you coul install a lightning rod . Nothing else can withstand that as far as your house supply goes . If your not familiar its just a rod at the highest point with direct connection to Earth ground . Your lucky no fire I actually saw it arcing out of my receptacles lost about 4 things including computer
