Strange shadow inside body of PBT

I have this emaciated PBT in QT. In addition to being thin, the fish is faded in coloration. The QT setup is currently not medicated. Fish shows good appetite.

I noticed this odd shadow inside the fish’s body. It is not a surface mark, and is only visible from this side of the body.

What could it be? Thanks!

Are you talking about the angled, thin line? That could be a bruise from being struck by a net frame. Getting pale may have allowed it to show up more distinctly.

You should consider a preventative ich treatment for this fish - either coppersafe or hyposalinity.
