Hey Guys i just got this coral order, i dont know what these odd spots are and the yellow dots. Is it a pest? safe to put in the tank?
Cant tell forsure but the white spots on the corals body seem to be areas where the zoox is discoloring from shipping stress.

Also the yellow could be anything....glue, eggs....

Do you dip your corals?

I swear by pond melafix for a coral dip.

I wouldnt put any corals in your tank without first doing a basic dip. Its not worth the risk of introducing something that could nuke your corals and that can be easily rinsed off.

I would keep in in a tempered container and head over to petco or any LFS. They should have melafix. Thats the most basic and widely available product for what you need.

Good luck!
