Stream 3 rock

Hi Roger,
I just got the rock for my Stream 3. I noticed that it does not have any holes on the backside and would seem to inhibit the backflush feature. Is this intentional? Will the pump need to be cleaned more frequently when using the rock?

Since the pump is square it does not seal the opening water tight and the water needed for cooling and back flushing the pump is able to enter/exit through the opening the pump seats in. The Stream rock does not interfere with the operation.
