Anyone ever have a hammer get unbelievably stressed and slime and deflate during a dip? My last one retracted and all but didn’t have this bad a reaction. Using TLF revive. Never had an issue before

It depends on a lot of factors. I’ve had a couple come in super stressed out from being shipped with too little water and slimed and deflated even without a dip at all.

I got it from the lfs. It was fine during acclimation, just got that way when dipped. Once I got it in the tank, I tuned up the flow a little and it all blew off. Still shrunken and deflated but seems to have stopped sliming. On the other hand, the monti frag I got at the same time is as happy as clownfish. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

The one on the left is the new one. Looks a lot better than it did before but still looks stressed. The other one I’ve had about a month.

Yeah, most of the time they just need time, even if its a short trip.

I have a new goni from an LFS, and its super slow to extend. 2 days now.... But it should get much better by the weekend.
