Any idea what these are? They're growing, dont move or retract when disturbed.
Very thin, about the thickness of thread. Seem to be green. Some sort of algae??

I do have chaeto in the sump, yeah. Is it possible for it to seed like this? I've never heard of that before. These strands are much thinner than the chaeto I am used to seeing.Looks like algae. Maybe cheato morpha? Are you running a refugium!? Also could be spaghetti worms- maybe, looks more like algae.
I have a couple micro brittle stars around, but this is something different.i got a ton of small starfish that look just like that in my rock
About 2 months post-cycle.Definitely not chaeto which is a usually a dark green that is shiny and very spirally. In addition, chaeto doesn't seed rocks like that. It does look like some type of diatomic or possibly dinoflagellate algae. How old is your tank?
About 2 months post-cycle.
Ive never dealt with dinos before...
Dont they tend to shrink overnight?
No matted algae anywhere, diatom bloom happened and has faded away.
Nope. They also dont move on their own at all.Dinos don't shrink really (to be honest they cover everything if left untreated). I'm also curious, do they retract if touched?
