Strombus Snail

Just a quick and easy one. My strombus snail has disappeared for the past 2 maybe 3 days. I know they bury themselves in the sand but I can’t find this little guy anywhere. I had one many years ago die on me and I’m concerned this guy is stuck under a rock or something. Anyway can someone just outline if this is a typical behaviour and if so how long do they burry themselves for.

I would say, that usually animals know what they are doing, and I don't think it's likely that the Conch is stuck under a rock or anything like that. He could just be hiding.

I’ve had it for about 2 months and the tank is about 4 months old. I’m sure it’s hiding but it’s strange I haven’t seen it for 4 days now. I check at night as well but no sign.

I can't say for sure, but marine critters do hide a lot, and it's possible that you may or may not see them for some time. I've have invertebrates that I thought I lost, and then suddenly, months later, they just pop up
